THANKSGIVING!

  “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” ~Psalm 100:4  

Give thanks for everything He has made.  Revelation 4:11, Psalm 136:4
·        Mankind
·         Plants
·         Stars/planets/ galaxies/
·         Hills/ mountains/valleys/ oceans
·         Animals

Give thanks to the Lord for His goodness.  Psalm 136:1

Give thanks to the Lord for showing us grace even when we don’t deserve it. 
1 Corinthians 1:4  This is a big one and I would say an important one!

Give thanks to the Lord for provisions that He has provided us in-order for us to be physically well!  Psalm 136:25

Give thanks to the Lord for His work of salvation and sanctification. Romans 7:25, Colossians 1:3-5, 1 Thessalonians 1:2-7; 2:13

(To sanctify, therefore, means "to make holy." In one sense only God is holy ( Isa 6:3 ). God is separate, distinct, other. No human being or thing shares the holiness of God's essential nature.) ~Crosswalk: Bible Study Tools

Give thanks to the Lord for all circumstances. Whether good or bad.  1 Thess. 5:18

Be thankful for His everlasting love. Psalm 106:1

Be thankful for His wisdom and that He reveals truth to us.  Daniel 2:22-23


Give thanks to the Lord for choosing you to be one of His followers. 
Galatians 2:16, John 3:16,

Give thanks to the Lord who sent His one and only Son into this wicked world to give His life for us, by crucified on the cross for our sins. John 3:16, 

Give thanks to the Lord for answered and unanswered prayers.  Romans 8:28-29


Showing thankfulness to God is also known as Praising Him.

“Our praise toward God is the means by which we express our joy to the Lord. We are to praise God both for who He is and what He does.”

We can give thanks to God in so many different ways; prayer, worship (both individually and collectively), meditating on His good and perfect Word, etc.

    I had a very bad day at school today, but I am thankful that God was there with me through it all. I am also thankful that I live in a country where I am not persecuted for my faith.

      Sorry to hear that you had a bad day at school!! I know we all have had those days!! That is definitely something to be thankful for! Sometimes we take it for granted, living in a country that does not persecute us for our faith!!

"With You I am completely Full"

I wrote these short passages a couple weeks ago and I thought that I would share them with you all! "I may be weak, small, frail, insignificant. But with You, oh Lord, I am strong, mighty, big, important, loved, content. Without You, I am nothing, but with you I am completely full. Fill up my cup and let it overflow!"
